Begin your journey with a pickup from your hotel in Marsa Alam. Travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor. Upon arrival, meet your private tour guide and head to the Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex ever built by man. Explore the three main temples, smaller enclosed temples, and several outer temples situated on 247 acres of land. Next, visit the Habu Temple, the mortuary temple of Ramesses III at Medinet Habu. Admire the intricate reliefs depicting religious ceremonies and the pharaoh's military victories, including his defeat of the Sea Peoples. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Luxor. In the evening, you can opt to attend a Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple. The show starts with a historical introduction covering the birth of the great city of Thebes and the erection of the Karnak Temple. Listen to a magnificent and poetic description of the artistic treasures and great legacy which the Karnak Temple encloses.
After breakfast at your hotel, visit the Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt's rulers from the 18th to 20th dynasty. Explore the tombs, including those of the great pharaoh Ramses II and the boy pharaoh Tutankhamen. Admire the well-preserved decorations inside the tombs. Next, visit the Hatshepsut Temple, one of the most beautiful and best-preserved temples of Ancient Egypt. The temple was built on three levels with two wide ramps in a central position joining the levels together. Finally, see the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of king Amenhotep III, the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. The statues are made from blocks of quartzite sandstone which were moved 700 KM to Luxor. After your tour, transfer back to Marsa Alam via Safaga.
